Stone massage combines traditional massage techniques with the use of hot and cold stones to provide an extremely effective and relaxing treatment.
Heat from the basalt stones penetrates muscles at a much deeper level than classic or Swedish massage and is perfect for releasing muscular aches and pains, stress and tension. As an added bonus for the therapist, you will find a reduction in the amount of strain and pressure placed on your hands and wrists.
This 1 day course will cover everything you need to know to perform a safe and professional stone massage on your clients.
Throughout the day we will cover:-
- History
- Theory
- Related anatomy & physiology
- Contraindications
- Practical skills
Students will be given a course manual which will aid their learning and provide a source of reference following completion of the course.
The course will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students will be issued with a MSCT Diploma on successful completion of the course.
